My name is Hope van der Riet, I am a senior majoring in Culinary Science at Auburn University. I have worked at 1856–Culinary Residence for the last two and a half years, recently taking lead of Tea on Thach operations under the guidance of Chef Antony Osborne. I am committed to growth and in relentless pursuit of my dreams, which will soon take me across the world to New Zealand. I intend to utilize my skills in pastry and my passion for the coffee industry to create a community center in the form of a coffee house in the future. I have had the privilege to grow and work under some of the best chefs in the world, but there is always more to learn, and I look forward to any and all avenues that will add to my repertoire of skills.
