My name is Peighton Kunkle, and I am a senior in the Hospitality Event Management program here at Auburn University. I am originally from Lineville, Alabama, but I have been lucky to call Auburn my home for the past two and a half years. When I first started college, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I started my college career at Southern Union Community College; after two years of going back and forth between majors, I discovered the Hospitality program at Auburn and quickly transferred in the spring of 2024. Event planning had always been in the back of my head since my elective class in high school, but I knew it was for me once I found this program. I have already helped plan and execute various events in and outside the program, and have also been presented with amazing opportunities such as working at the Masters. Since I've been here, I have fallen in love with every aspect of event planning, and I cannot wait to see what my future holds. The Hospitality Gala is such a unique and important event that I am so excited to help plan and execute this event!
