After a 25 year career as a corporate event professional, I retired to Auburn to be closer to family and to take on a more active caregiving role. The energy surrounding the opening of the Rane Culinary Science Center sparked an unexpected desire to return to the classroom myself. I decided to pursue my Master’s in Hospitality Administration, blending my industry experience with a renewed passion for learning. During my graduate studies, I served as a teaching assistant for the Hospitality Gala, an experience that deepened my love for mentoring students and supporting large scale events from an academic perspective. After graduating, I joined the faculty as an adjunct lecturer, where I now teach Event Operations and the Gala course, helping prepare the next generation of event professionals.
