A native of Cullman, Alabama, Chef Frank Stitt—named the "godfather of Southern cuisine" by Garden & Gun—is highly committed to regenerative agriculture and humane animal husbandry. After training under his mentor Richard Olney, he opened Highlands Bar & Grill (2018 James Beard Outstanding Restaurant), Bottega and Chez Fonfon. A multi-James Beard Award winner and Alabama Academy of Honor inductee, Stitt authored two acclaimed cookbooks and received the Horst H. Schulze Award for Excellence in Hospitality from Auburn University.
