Jason enjoys cooking with local & interesting ingredients created with passion and superior technique to deliver a dish to your table that is artistically plated and cooked from the heart. From humble beginnings as a short order cook at his family owned Huddle House in Brunswick, GA to graduating from the world renowned Greenbrier Culinary Apprenticeship Program in West Virginia, Chef Jason has traveled across the South for nearly two decades expanding his career in the culinary industry. Chef Jason’s last luxury resort being Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton South Carolina, where he was the Chef De Cuisine of the River House, Jessamine and Octagon Bar. Chef Jason has now found himself as the Executive Chef of Central in Montgomery, AL. You can find him in the kitchen daily testing out new techniques, teaching or mentoring his young team of culinarians. Chef Jason has come to Central to bring the low country cuisine and the deep southern roots of Alabama together to create a collage of what the south means to him. His Cuisine is focused on seasonality of ingredients and the practice of sustainability of land & Sea through purchasing and cooking practices.
